FRIEDA ANNA HARDT Suddenly after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Seven Oaks Hospital Frieda fell into a deep sleep forever. She was 83 years old. Frieda was predeceased by her husband Fritz February 22, 1986. She leaves to mourn her life four sons and their wives, Horst (Elaine), Heinz (Susan), Gunther (Linda), Rudi (Helena), also eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Frieda was born in the town of Nelep, East Germany. She married Fritz during the war years and was forced to walk out of her country to the west side of Germany with virtually the clothes on her back with her parents and son Horst. Frieda arrived with three of her oldest sons in 1953 on our Canadian shores. She and Fritz settled in the north end of Winnipeg most of their lives. Frieda was a strong and courageous woman, she strived with great dedication to make things better for her family all of her living years. She will be greatly missed by us all. We love you Mother, Oma and Grandma. A celebration of Frieda's life will be held Tuesday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., with Pastor Jim Poirier officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. In memory of Frieda donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, Unit 10, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
