FLORENCE WAGNER Peacefully with her family at her side, Florence passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Selkirk and District General Hospital. Florence leaves to mourn her sons, Wayne (Bunny), Scott (Ramona); granddaughters, Heather and Sandra; sister-in-law Beverly Mitchler; and many relatives and friends. Florence is now reunited with her loving husband George; her brother Harold Hash ; and her parents, William and Dorothy. Florence was born in Waldersee, MB and moved to Winnipeg where she met and married her husband George of 50 years. Florence worked for the City of Winnipeg for 25 years before retirement in 1990. One of Florence's greatest pleasures was taking care of her two granddaughters and watching them grow. She was a creative person who loved to crochet quilts and make beautiful flower arrangements and crafts. Florence also loved to take care of her garden and many flower beds in her yard. In 1956, together with her husband George, they found property at Point du Bois where together with family and friends they built a cottage which she enjoyed and was very proud of. Florence and George were very fortunate to travel to many wonderful places, especially going to Port Aransas, TX, where they made many good friends. Thank you to all those who were so kind and caring to Florence and her family during her illness, the doctors, nurses and homecare workers in the community and at Selkirk and District General Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Demsas for being so patient during her lengthy illness. Respecting Florence's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Florence's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9; Selkirk General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, 100 Easton Dr., Selkirk, MB R1A 2M2. Remember her with a smile today, she was not one for tears. Reflect instead on memories Of all the happy years. Recall to mind the way she spoke and all the things she said and did. Her strength, her stance and the way she walked, remember this instead. We will miss you.
