GLEN WAYNE BIRD JR. "GLENZO" November 28, 1955 - April 28, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Glen Wayne Bird Jr. of Peguis First Nation on April 28, 2005 at the age of 49 years. With his beloved wife Beverly, daughters, Mom and Dad, and family standing by his side, Glen's spirit was set free. Our dear husband, dad, son, mooshum, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend will leave to cherish his memory his beloved wife Beverly of 24 wonderful years; his big girls, Glennis (Rick), Amanda (Lyle Sr.) and Baby girl Tammy; grandson Lyle Jr. (Tink Son); parents, Illa and Glen Bird Sr.; mother-in-law Miriam Sinclair; brothers, Charlie (Deb), Keith (Verna), Gerald (Cynthia), Stan (Christine), and William; sisters, Janice (Russell), Arlene (Randy), Myrna (Mervin), and Andrea (Brad); brothers-in-law, Ronnie (Faye) and Barry; sisters-in-law, Joanne (John), Tilly, and Faye (Lloyd); special Auntie Gladys Sinclair; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins who he loved and admired. Glen was predeceased by his son John; brother Johnny; brother-in-law Ewart; grandfathers and grandmothers, and numerous aunts and uncles. Glenzo, as he was called by those who knew him well, gave to others never expecting anything in return. He provided well for his wife and kids and liked to help his family with indoor or outdoor work between jobs. Glenzo was a man of land and sea. He grew up on the lake and was taught how to work at an early age, often fishing with his dad, uncles, and brothers. He later attended Keyano College where he received his heavy equipment certification. Glenzo felt this was his true calling and always looked forward to his next job. His favourite pastime was visiting close friends and cousins, Ron and Theresa, Slug and Wilma, his brothers and sisters. Glen always enjoyed spending a lot of his time with family and friends, especially his grandson Tink, who he truly loved and adored. A special thank you to Dr. Wiebe and nursing staff of GH4 at Health Sciences Centre; Peguis and Fisher River Band; his friend Pastor Henry Demeria, sister Matilda LaFrance; and all the family and friends who came to visit dad before his passing and who continue to lend support to the family.
