EVELYN KATHERINE TOOTH Evelyn (Ev) Katherine Tooth, born March 14, 1958 in Winnipeg, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2005 in Steinbach, MB after a courageous battle with cancer. Evelyn is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband Dave, son Brent and daughter Madison; parents, Frank and Tina Wiens; as well as Evelyn's siblings, Harry (Sue), Bob (Ruth), Peter (Kathy). Evelyn's first love was her children. She loved them and was proud of being their mother. Evelyn loved life. She was an encouragement and a bright light to everyone who met her. Evelyn never let life's challenges diminish her positive outlook towards life. She loved gardening, travelling, golfing, and cross stitching for her children. Evelyn's undying faith in Jesus Christ was an inspiration for many people. She maintained her sense of humour right to the end. Evelyn was a longtime employee of the City of Steinbach. She enjoyed her workplace made all the more special through the camaraderie she shared with her fellow employees. The family would like to thank all family members as well as many friends for their support and prayers. The family is also thankful for the kindness shown by all the health care providers at the Bethesda Hospital and Dr. Krahn. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for a celebration of Evelyn's life on Wednesday, May 4 at 2:30 p.m. at Glenlea Mennonite Church in Glenlea, MB, 12 minutes south of Winnipeg on Highway 75. A fellowship gathering and light lunch will follow the service.
