LOUISE (TELLIER) SQUIRES August 20, 1935 - May 1, 2005 It is with great sorrow that we announce, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, the passing of our loving wife, mother, sister and grandma, Marie Eugenie Louise (Tellier) Squires. Louise, also known as Lou or Grandma Lou, lost her hard fought ten year battle with cancer on Sunday, May 1, 2005 at the Selkirk District General Hospital. Left to cherish Louise's memories are her loving husband of 30 years Cliff Squires, daughter Jackie (Charlie) Skwarek of Whitehorse, YK, son Mark (Pearl) Holt of Clandeboye, MB, son Greg (Tina) Holt of East St. Paul, MB and her 28 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by sisters, Jeanine (Frenchie) Sibileau of Tyndall, MB and Pauline (Ross) Winters of Stoney Creek, ON, who were by her side for her final moments. Louise was predeceased by her mother Marie (Nolette) Tellier in 1967, her father Raymond Tellier in 1970, her infant sister Jackie Tellier in 1942, and her brother Gaston Tellier in 1993. Born in St. Norbert on August 20, 1935, she will return to be laid to rest on Thursday, May 7 at the St. Norbert Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Honouring her wishes there will be only a small internment service followed by a reception to celebrate her life at the St. Norbert Community Centre. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. G. Fuchs, Dr. Harris, the wonderful nurses and staff at the Selkirk General Hospital and Cancer Care, and to all the friends and family members who have shown support and care during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. And finally to Cliff, words cannot express our gratitude to you for your support, care and devotion during her illness. Your love eased her suffering and helped through many hard times more than you will ever know. From all of us who shared her love, Thank you. We love and miss you Mom Gramma's getting her halo today K.D. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
