Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY ANN HARLEY (nee SLATOR) 1948 - 2005 Shirley passed away peacefully at Portage la Prairie General Hospital on May 2, 2005. Shirley was born in Winnipeg on September 3, 1948 and spent her formative years growing up in Churchill, MB. Shirley spent many years living and working in Winnipeg and spent her later years travelling with her husband Bud to Mexico and Florida. Shirley and Bud retired to their lodge in St. Ambroise where they spent time hunting, entertaining their family and friends and just enjoying life. Shirley is survived by her husband L. F. (Bud) Harley, daughter Stacey James (Kevin) of Fort McMurray, son Michael James (Anita) of Lethbridge and daughter Theresa Penner and granddaughter Kyla of Calgary. She is also survived by her brother Terry Slator (Betty) of Winnipeg, sister Theresa Slator (Kerry) of Yellowknife and nephews David and Mark Slator of Winnipeg. Shirley was predeceased by her mother and stepfather Carol and James Slator. The Harley family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Portage la Prairie General Hospital for the kindness shown to Shirley during her various stays at the hospital. Cremation has taken place and a private ceremony will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation Manitoba Chapter.
