WILFRED MATTHEW BRUYERE After a courageous battle with cancer Wilfred M. Bruyere left us on Monday, May 2, 2005 with his family by his side to join his family in heaven. He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Marcie, Jill (Kevin), Matthew (Michelle), Joshua, Etienne, Roger (Shirley), Myrna (Les), Irma (Mort), Des (Audrey), Ursula (Alan), Floyd (Cathy), Orrie, Allison (Terrence), Biance (Steve); his siblings, Lorraine, Sylvia, Rose (Dave), Joan (Russell), Kim (Paul), Terry (Bert) Vi, Tony (Carol), Bruce, Bert, Chris (Delores); as well as sisters-in-law, Annette, Elaine, Marie (Ben) and Gwen Sinclair; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife Sophie; his parents, William and Angele; brothers and sisters, Joe (Cecile), Lou, Alma and Ron; his nephew Kyle; brother-in-law Chuck; and sisters-in-law, Isabelle, Vicki; father and mother-in-law, Peter and Harriet Sinclair; and his special friend Wally Fontaine; and a granddaughter Claire. Dad was born and raised in Ft. Alexander where he met and married mom, Sophie on November 16, 1955 where together they raised a family of nine. Wilfred was very proud to work for the Sagkeeng Education Authority for over 40 years. He enjoyed working with children and staff of the Sagkeeng Consolidated School. Dad will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hugo Lambrechts and the staff of the Pine Falls Health Complex, Kathy, Margaret, Anita, Patty, Jeanette S. and to all who tended to our father. A special thanks to traditional healers Don Cardinal, Don Daniels and Clayton Mazawasicuna. Special thanks to all friends who came to visit. Wake services will commence May 3 from St. Alexander RC Church, Sagkeeng First Nation. Funeral services will be on Friday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. also from the church with Fr. Jerry Sembrano presiding. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wesley, Claude, Roland, Neil, Todd and Carlos. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, Lincoln and Carter Bruyere.
