Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARBARA ENID JEAN CARLYLE (nee MCINTYRE) March 23, 1941 - May 2, 2005 After a brief illness Jean died peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 64 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Wallace Henry McIntyre (1960) and Alda Jeanette McIntyre (Brown) (1997). Jean is lovingly remembered by her two sons, William (Margot) and grandchildren Sean and Paige of Kelowna, and John (Kathryn) and grandchildren Robert and Deanna of Winnipeg. She will also be sadly missed by the Carlyle family, her former spouse, Tom, and her many friends. Jean was born and raised in Winnipeg and attended Queenston and River Heights Elementary Schools, Robert H. Smith Junior High and Kelvin High School. She graduated with a B.A. degree from the University of Manitoba in 1961. Mom was a public-spirited volunteer with the Junior League of Winnipeg and the Manitoba Theatre Centre. Her five pin bowling was a constant, on Wednesdays. She was a loyal friend and devoted mother who enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Many thanks to the Grace Hospital and Health Sciences Centre, Intensive Care Units, for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow.
