ROBERT IVAN STOCKS 1913 - 2005 On Tuesday, May 3, 2005 Ivan passed away peacefully at the Boyne Lodge in Carman. Ivan was born on the family farm October 2, 1913 and lived all his life in the Roland Municipality, until going to the Boyne Lodge, January 6, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Dorothy (nee Coates) and son Robert (Ruth) Stocks of Regina SK; brother Clarence (Jean) Stocks of Roland; sisters, Jennet Bell of Calgary, Eva Pederson of Carman, Marguerite McKnight (Alan) of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law, Mabel Wilson of Ottawa, and Alice Webster of Killarney; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Jennie Stocks; brother Keith Stocks; sisters, Marion McKerlie and Jessie Pannebaker; and brother-in-law Murray Coates. Ivan was a community man, member of Roland United Church, life member of the Roland Curling Club and 60 year member of Shilo Masonic Lodge. He and Dorothy travelled extensively and in earlier years enjoyed their truck camper and fishing, and in later years golfing with senior men. A memorial service will take place in the Roland United Church on Friday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harry Ritchie officiating. Refreshments and fellowship in Roland Hall following the service. Special thanks to Ken and Lee Coates and Brian and Zenith Coates for their love and caring to Ivan and Dorothy during the past year of Ivans illness and to Boyne Lodge for their excellent loving care he had in the last months.
