Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHUGHIE LEONARD ROBERTSON Peacefully with his family at his side Hughie Leonard Robertson of Berens River passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the age of 74 years. Hughie was born at Norway House on June 21, 1930, spending most of his life in Berens River. He was a commercial fisherman, later he became an entrepreneur, owning his own store at Berens River. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory his daughter Margaret Everett (Lester); son Hughie John Robertson (Verla); one sister Betsy Patrick; grandchildren, Hartley, Vanessa, Nashene, Shianne, Brittany, Amber, Chase, Leah, Kateri and John; two great-grandchildren, Jaymon and Emery. He was predeceased by his wife Gemma; parents, John and Margaret Robertson; three sisters, Ila Graham, Mary King and Agnes Still. Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. St. John 14: 1-3 Prayers will be said on Thursday, May 5 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. Wake services will be held on Friday, May 6 at Berens River Roman Catholic Church. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Berens River Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Rheal Forest officiating. Interment to follow at Berens River Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Alec Patrick, Andrew Murdock, Riley Sinclair Sr., John Still Jr. and Lester Everett.
