DORIS EVELYN WEEDMARK (nee WOODLEY) On Friday, April 29, 2005, Doris passed away at the West Park Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 104 years. Remaining to cherish her memory are her son-in-law (Peter) Helge Ross Childs of Winnipeg, MB; grandsons, Brent Childs (Myrna) and their family and Ken Childs (Michelle) and their family; granddaughter Doris MacKinnon (Rodger) of Nova Scotia; as well as numerous relatives in the Nova Scotia area. She was predeceased by her husband Clayton Ellis Weedmark in 1988; son Harry Weedmark of Whitby, ON in 1981; daughter Joyce E. Childs of Winnipeg in 1994; daughter-in-law Orma Butler of Whitby, ON; and granddaughter Eleanor Whitfield of Virginia Beach, ON. Doris was born January 7, 1901 in Willesden, County of Middlesex, London, England. In March of 1923, Doris and Clayton married and began farming in Regina, SK retiring in 1967. In 1973, they moved to Winnipeg. In compliance with Doris' wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Our family would like to thank the staff of the West Park Manor Personal Care Home for the 14 years of love and care that Doris received, as well our sincere thanks to Dr. Leung-Shing.
