LILLIAN ROSENBLAT Lillian Rosenblat passed away peacefully at home with her family close by on April 21, 2005 shortly after her 90th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Eddie and her two sisters, Evelyn Siskind and Gert Sherman. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Richard (Shaylene) and Ronald (Ellie) and her grandchildren, Michael, Kara (Jason), Daniel (Noni), Josh and Sherri (Louis) and her great-grandson Joe and many nieces and nephews. Mom lived all her long life in Winnipeg, graduating from the U. of M. in 1937 with a BSc. in Home Economics. Mom was the matriarch of our family. She was loved by and extremely devoted to Eddie, her husband of 45 years and her two sons, Richard and Ron. She loved having all her family around her in Winnipeg. Mom was a lifetime member of the Lillian Frieman chapter of Hadassah and a member of the Lion of Judah for many years. Mom travelled to many parts of the world, spent many winters in Palm Springs and summers at her cottage in Gimli. Mom had many friends with whom she played canasta and bridge and she belonged to investment and social groups. Funeral services were held at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue on Friday, April 22. Pallbearers were her grandchildren. Donations can be made to the Lillian and Eddie Rosenblat fund at the Jewish Foundation or any charity of your choice. Rest peacefully Mom we will miss you greatly.
