WILLIAM P. ENNS, Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, October 27, 2000, 6:00 p.m. at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach. He reached the age of 76 years, 11 months. Dad was born in Kleefeld, southwest of Plum Coulee, MB, on November 27, 1923. He was married to Aganetha Wiebe on July 6, 1943. Together they shared 56 years, 10 months and three days. Their first home was in Alt-Bergthal, west of Altona. In 1948 they moved to Ile Des Chenes where they resided till 1985, then moved to Kleefeld. Dad loved farming, enjoyed planting shelterbelts. When they retired to Kleefeld, Dad enjoyed family history. He published several family tree books. For many years he was involved with the Mitchell Seniors Center, as vice president, president and board member. Left to cherish his memory are five sons and five daughters, William and Elvira Enns of Tourond; John and Maria Enns of Grunthal; Marie Enns of Birds Hill; Peter and Marlene Enns of Winnipeg; Agnes Penner of Oak Bank; Henry and Frances Enns of Kleefeld; Helen and Tim Smith of Oak Bank; Ann and Chunk Swaine of Winnipeg; George and Sandra Enns of Winnipeg; Margaret and Jake Voth of Birds Hill; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Agnes, one grandson, one great-granddaughter in infancy, one son-in-law, his parents, three brothers and one sister. He is survived by two brothers, two sisters, one sister-in-law and their families. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at the Bethesda Hospital for all the special care they provided for Dad. “I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith.”
