Dad was born on January 21, 1930 in Edmonton, AB to Christopher and Clara Bradshaw. He started working at the age of 13 as a cook on the railway. Later, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and began cooking for the military all over the world. He met Mom at a dance in Portage while on a base at McDonald. They both knew it was love at first sight and married on April 19, 1952. They continued raising their children and travelling the world together. In 1975 they settled back in Portage la Prairie and Dad started working at the Manitoba School, working there until 1986 when Dad was struck down with Guillan Barre Syndrome. They moved to Winnipeg, followed by Beausejour, but shortly before Dad's passing came home to Portage. He was such a loving husband and father. His biggest accomplishments were his marriage to Mom for they never left each other's side and secondly how proud he was of his seven children, not telling them often, but telling the people he met how great we were. He would tell so many. Dad was a loving and giving father who loved playing and teasing with his grandchildren, as well as all children. That and cooking were his greatest treasures. Predeceased by his parents, Christopher Bradshaw and Clara and Archie Perrault, and recently his sister-in-law Valerie (Charles) Hawkins. He leaves to mourn his passing, his beloved wife of 53 years; Florence (Strecker), seven children; Judy, Clara Mae (Jerry) Vincer, Ernest (Melody McKellar), Valerie (Lawrence) Hourie, Patricia (Joe) Taylor, Joseph (Brenda), Linda (Nicholas) Becx; 18 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers; Maurice (Margarite) Perrault, Joseph (Helga), Charles (Amanda); sister-in-law; Lorraine Miller, brother-in-law; Edward (Carol) Strecker and several nieces and nephews.
