MARGARET IRENE WAUGH (nee STEWART) 1915 - 2005 It is with great sadness that the family announces that our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on May 10, 2005 at the Golden Links Lodge, Winnipeg at the age of 90. Irene was born on February 21, 1915 in Winnipeg, MB to parents, Kenneth Bruce Stewart and Florence Vivian Matthews and graduated as an R.N. from the Victoria Hospital in 1939. Irene married Jack Allan Waugh on November 4, 1939 and they were married for 52 years when death separated them on November 16, 1991. Mom's real treasures were her husband Jack and her family. Mom was the one who always listened, she always cared and she always gave of herself. There was no more loving, warmer or caring mother. The first thing we all learned from her was that we were loved. Mom spent many wonderful summers at Whytewold Beach enjoying her favourite pastimes knitting, sewing, Scrabble, crosswords, gardening and reading. Left to treasure her memory are her son Bruce (Lorrie) and daughter Marcie; grandchildren, John Copsey and Robin Bonne (Michael Kilmury); great-grandchildren, Matthew, Emma and Sara and her sister Betty McAmmond, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Jack; her parents, four sisters and four brothers. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to those very special people at Golden Links Lodge who cared for our mother so lovingly over the past year. Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Mom's wishes a private family service will be held.
