HELEN HARASYMCHUK (OWCHAR) It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Helen on Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at the age of 80. Mom will be sadly missed by her husband Walter; sons, Robert and grandson Kevin; Alan (Linda) and granddaughters, Cheryl and Lisa (Mike); Gary (Elaine) and granddaughters, Carly and Charlene. She is survived by her sister Stella Kushneruik; brother-in-law Frank Harasymchuk; sisters-in-law, Stella Michulak and Helen Glowak. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom was predeceased by her father Alex in 1971 and her mother Katherine in 1992. Helen was born on May 24, 1924 at Rama, SK. She was raised on the family farm and attended Bellenden School in that district. Helen then moved to Winnipeg to attend Dominion Business College. While in Winnipeg, she met and married Walter and raised their family. Mom was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished visits from her children and grandchildren. Over the years she enjoyed time spent at their family cottage, travelling, fishing, cooking, gardening, crocheting and knitting. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation. Following her wishes, a private family service will be held. Cropo Funeral Chapel
