ZELIA SOUSA October 21, 1932 - May 11, 2005 It is with great sadness that the Sousa family announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend. Zelia passed away on the evening of May 11, 2005, at the age of 72. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Manuel and wife Ana, Ernesto and wife Andrea. Her grandchildren, Michelle, Daniel, Tyler, Mykyla and Graham; her brother Joao, wife Lurdes; sisters-in-law, Maria de Deus Raposo and Adelaide Raposo; many nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. Zelia was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband Ernesto; infant daughter Fatima; grandchildren, Sandra and Shauna; her sister Maria and her husband Jose Machado; brothers, Francisco and Manuel. The family would like to thank all of Zelia's relatives, friends and acquaintances that were involved and enriched Zelia's life over the years in particular those people that made extra effort during her years of declining health to show Zelia compassion and kindness. To all the health care personnel involved in Zelia's life who have been patient and compassionate in attending to Zelia's needs and helping her through the difficult times our sincerest gratitude and thanks. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing, may contribute to their favourite charity in Zelia's memory. Prayers 8:00 p.m., Tuesday May 17 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 181 Austin St. Funeral mass 10:00 a.m., May 18 at the Immaculate Conception Church officiated by Rev. Fr. Jose E. Medeiros, entombment Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Sousa, Tyler Sousa, Ernesto Raposo, Joe Raposo, Timothy Machado, Carlos Machado.
