Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJESSIE ALISON MCKENZIE (nee MOFFAT) OF SAANICHTON, BC Alison passed away peacefully on May 13, 2005, in her home in Saanichton comforted by her family. Alison was born March 31, 1926 in Winnipeg. She was one of nine children born to Jessie and Archie Moffat. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Mac; brothers, Doug, Bob and Drew; and sisters, Shelagh and Olivia. Alison leaves to mourn her, son Drew (and Joan) of Toronto; daughter Kathryn (and Peter) of Halifax; son Scott of Calgary; grandchildren, Stacey, Lindsay, Jenny, Sarah, Bonnie, Connor, Heather, Duncan; great-grandchildren, Noah, Daniel, Timothy, Darius, Matthew; sisters, Frances McMurray of Winnipeg, Kathryn (and Bill) Lawson of Winnipeg, Connie Moffat of Saanichton; and sisters-in-law, Iona McKenzie of Winnipeg and Joan Moffat of Burlington. Alison was an enthusiastic curler, golfer and artist. Her many friends in Moncton, Toronto, Winnipeg and Victoria will continue to remember her for her many oil paintings, stained glass treasures, humour and friendship. She will be forever remembered by her family as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by us all. A celebration of her life will be held at her home at 7720 Blackglama Pl., Saanichton on Sunday, May 15, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All friends and family are welcome. The family would like to extend their grateful thanks to the many caregivers that helped ease Alison's last days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a palliative care centre of your choice.
