MARIAN WRAY After a brief illness, Marian Wray passed on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 84 years. Marian is survived by his son Sigmund Richard (Gayle), grandson Jabez, his dear friend and companion Marianna, former wife Tatiana, sister Wanda and many other relatives and friends in Poland. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanislaw and Stella Wrzyszcz; and brother John. Marian was born on January 1, 1921 in the city of Zamosc in Eastern Poland. He came to Canada in 1948 and married Tatiana and raised their son in Brandon. Marian worked at CFB Shilo from 1960 to 1986 retiring as a maintenance foreman. In 1996 he moved to Winnipeg, shortly after he met Marianna. He found a new lease on life in Winnipeg with many new and wonderful friends. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, May 17 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marian's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Ave., Winnipeg MB R3C 9Z9.
