Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDRE JEAN-MARIE DUPRE 1930 - 2005 With his family by his side, on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, Andre Dupre passed away at the Ste. Rose General Hospital at the age of 74 years. Andre will be missed by Shirley his wife of 40 years; his daughter Patricia (Tim Peterson) Dupre of Winnipeg; his sons, Robert Dupre, Gordon (Katherine) Dupre and Jason (Nicole) Dupre; his grandchildren, Courtney, Ceagen, Katlin, Cadence, Jessica, Andrew and (Baby Bump) due in July; his brother Rene (Cecile) Divers of McCreary; his sisters, Bernadette Doucette of McCreary and Therese (Nick) Kuszak of Dauphin. He also leaves to mourn his best friends, Emile and Judy Bernadin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. Andre was predeceased by his father Mathieu Joseph Dupre in 1961 and his mother Marie Jeanne (Divers) in 1988. Andre was born at his family's homestead, near Laurier in 1930. He farmed with his father until his father's passing and then continued on the family farm on his own. He married in 1964 and had a family of four children. In 1975 he changed occupations and worked on road construction with Royal Paving and later with Nelson River Construction. He also did some electrical work for Manco Electric. He retired in 1996 and at that time left the farm and moved to Ste. Rose du Lac. Andre loved spending time on the farm, after his retirement he always had advice and a helping hand for his sons, whether it be training horses, planting or harvesting the crops or feeding the cows, you could guarantee that Dad had something to say about it. He also loved get togethers and playing cards. A good conversation and argument was to he had by all. Even though he was retired, he needed something to keep busy, so he enjoyed woodworking and tinkering, making many delightful items for Shirley and the grandchildren. Prayers will be held on Sunday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Notre Dame des Victoires Roman Catholic Church in Laurier. Mass of celebration will be he held on Monday, May 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Notre Dame des Victoires Roman Catholic Church in Laurier with Fr. Norberto Monton as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Laurier Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andre's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or to the Ste.
