Magnusson announce the passing of their beloved brother, brother-in-law and uncle on May 12, 2005. Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Oscar and Anna; brother Harold; brother-in-law Ernest Whiteway and niece Cheryl Ingraham. He is survived by his three sisters, Alice Whiteway of Calgary, Mae (Ingi) Sigvaldason of Arborg and Donna (Walter) Glazer of Lacey, WA; sister-in-law Gertrude Magnusson of Riverton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arnold was born on July 4, 1934 in Riverton and lived there all his life. He was a commercial fisherman and fished with his father and brother on Lake Winnipeg. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19 at the Riverton Community Cemetery with Pastor Trudy Thorarinson officiating. For those who wish, a viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Riverton-Hnausa Lutheran Church. Coffee and lunch will be served back at the church immediately following the graveside service. The family wishes to thank Dr. Magerman, his staff and the staff at the Gimli Community Health Centre for their care during Arnold's recent illness. They also wish to thank the Riverton Ambulance for their prompt response. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
