Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORA BRUCE Peacefully with her family at her side, Nora Bruce of Poplar River, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, May 13, 2005 at the age of 73 years. Nora was born at Berens River on April 26, 1932 and spending most of her life in Poplar River. She enjoyed going to bingo where she would meet with her many friends. Nora also loved to tell stories of the past. She always had a sense of humour and always made the best of any situation. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her husband Victor. Daughters Rita Swain, Rebecca (Liz) Bruce (Dennis Lerat), Deborah Favell (Charlie), and Raven Thundersky (Allan Aitken). Sons, Delbert Bruce (Doreen Fisher), and Dennis Bruce (Marilyn Franklin), numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her daughters, Barbara Keam (June 7, 1980), Mardina Mitchell (February 13, 1995), Melvina Mitchell (April 9, 1999), brothers and sisters, and her parents, George and Mary Ann Flett. Prayers will be said on Monday, May 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave. at Parr, Winnipeg MB. Wake services will be held on Tuesday, May 17 and Wednesday, May 18 at 1:00 p.m. Poplar River, MB. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 19 at at Poplar River United Church with Rev. Allen Sinclair officiating. Interment to follow at Poplar River Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses on GD4 at the Health Sciences Centre and Dr. Maxsymiuk of CancerCare. Memorial donations can be made to the Cancer Society.
