Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTINA SINCLAIR GRIFFITHS (nee FINNERTY) October 11, 1932 - May 12, 2005 On May 12, 2005 at Okotoks, AB, Christina Griffiths, aged 72 years of Selkirk, MB passed away peacefully. Christina was predeceased by her husband Edward (Eddie); mother Margaret and father Edward Finnerty; sister Edna Boberg; brother John (Jackie) Tubbs; brothers-in-law, Daniel (Danny) Griffiths, and Benny Boberg; mother-in-law Gladys (Glady) Griffiths; father-in-law Walter (Steve) Griffiths, and nephew Robert Jablonski. She is survived by her children, Charles (Bev), Heather (Jim) Masters, John (Jack), Kevin (Deana), and Stephen; her grandchildren, Shannon (Ryan) Lyons, Christina Masters, Joselyn, Bailey, Stephanie and Rylan Griffiths, Jordan Griffiths, and Scott and Cory Taylor; great-grandchildren, Declan, Caden and Madison Lyons; her auntie Chris and uncle Bill Reid of Scotland, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends and relatives in Scotland, Australia, and the USA. She will also be remembered by her many friends in the Church choir, the Tudor House Gang, the Legion and her singing partners at the General Hospital, but especially her longtime friends, Irene and Art Salmon, Marshal McCarthy, Janet Griffiths and Mary and Jim Kidd. A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 17 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Knox Presbyterian Church, Selkirk with Rev. Ken Innis officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Clements Cemetery. You fought a long, hard battle with great courage and fortitude Many times you amazed your nurses and doctors with your stamina and humour. The battle is over, the peace hard won. You can now dance forever more in the arms of your love. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Palliative care unit at the Selkirk General Hospital, Box 5000, Selkirk, MB R1A 2M2 or the Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
