ENA ENID ELDRED 1903 - 2005 On Sunday, May 15, 2005 at The Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg Ena Enid Eldred of Winnipeg. Ena was born in Hounslow, Middlesex, England and came to Crocus, MB with her family in 1911. She moved to Winnipeg in 1928. Ena was a member of Saint Andrew's Anglican Church and Saint Paul's Middlechurch Anglican Churches. She taught in several rural districts of Manitoba, at Rupertsland Girls' School, Winnipeg, the Winnipeg School Division No. 1 and at the Manitoba School for the Deaf. Many of her pupils and their parents have kept in touch with her over the years and their sincere appreciation of her successful career with them meant a great deal to her. Ena was recognized in this province as an outstanding teacher. She was predeceased by her parents, Edgar and Helen Eldred. She leaves to mourn her nephew Eldred Wyche (Eleanor), Zena de la Wyche (Cyril - predeceased) and several nephews and many kind friends. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 19 at Saint Paul's Middlechurch Anglican Church with the Rev. Robin Mather officiating. Interment at Saint John's Cathedral Cemetery. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Middlechurch Home for their kindness and care shown to Ena.
