STEVE TOKER 1927 - 2005 It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Steve Toker, aged 77 years, of Lac Du Bonnet on Friday, May 13, 2005. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Veronica, their only daughter Kelly (Mike) Maida; granddaughters, Taylor and Julia; brother Mike (Carrie); and sister Pauline Fedun (Willy); brother-in-law Louis Lucko; and sister-in-law Louise Magid. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Bonifate. Steve was a jack-of-all-trades and there wasn't a project too big for him to tackle. He was very analytical and loved to find out what made things tick. He was self taught and developed intermediary skills in carpentry, mechanics and plumbing. He loved to fish and spend time with his family and friends. Steve understood the true meaning of life was in family and friends and not material things. Above all Steve cherished the time he spent with his granddaughters, Taylor and Julia. The family extends special gratitude to Drs. Demsas and Petkau and the staff at Selkirk and Pinawa General Hospital, these incredible nurses showed immense compassion and dedication beyond the call of duty. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in his memory to CancerCare Manitoba. Please remember to donate blood. Steve was able to spend a wonderful Christmas and Easter season with his family largely due to the many transfusions that he received. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 19 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Cemetery, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. The Coutu Family in care of arrangements: E.J COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald Street 253-5086
