EVA EMELINE PICKARD Peacefully on May 13, 2005, Eva passed away at the Hillcrest Personal Care Home in Brandon, MB at the age of 91. Eva married Roy Pickard who had two daughters, Dorothy and Ruth. Roy predeceased her in 1969. Eva was also predeceased by her brothers, Bob and Harry Battershell and sister Grace (Percy) Moore. She leaves to mourn her passing brother George (Mary Battershell of McCreary, MB and brother Edward Battershell of Neepawa, MB) and many nieces and nephews, the Lenius family and Rempel family and many friends. Eva loved to travel and enjoyed meeting people. She went to Europe and travelled extensively through out the U.S.A., Canada and Alaska. Hawaii was her favourite vacation spot. She was a member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary . Eva and her late husband were owner operators of Pickard Map Company and travelled throughout Western Canada distributing the maps. When Roy passed away, Eva continued to carry on the business. Eva enjoyed fishing, photography, bowling, discussing politics and was a great reader. Cremation has taken place and Eva's remains will be placed with her husband Roy at a graveside service on Wednesday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
