DAISY GILLIS Peacefully, on Sunday, May 15, 2005, Daisy Gillis went to be with the Lord. She leaves behind her sons, Darrel (Patricia), Eric (Maureen) and Charles (Anneke); grandchildren, James, Khristina, Mathew, Jason (Shannon), Shawn (Christine), Abigail and Charles Jr.; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Shayden; sister Alice Hiscock; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Catherine Brown, Margaret Yaxley, Frank (Louise) Gillis, Adair (Ivan) Bickell and Joan Gillis; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Charles Sr. and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Alvin Hiscock, Bruce Gillis, Edward and Louise Davis, Robert Brown and Ted Yaxley. Daisy worked as a home maker for many years and was greatly involved with Calvary Temple Church of the Deaf and a champion of the deaf community. She was a joyful person; some of her happiest times were visiting, joking and having fun with her many friends all over North America. Her young spirit was evident through her many, many crafts and time spent with her grandchildren touring the beauties far and wide. A special thank you to her nieces Tammy (Iqbal) Ali and Sherry (John) Knight who were Daisy's special significance, and Mr. Roger Fillion for his care and support to Daisy's health. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 19 at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, 783-7211. Viewing will be at 9:15 a.m. Interment will be at Little Britain Cemetery.
