MARIA ERMELINDA PACHECO SANTOS Our beloved Mom passed away at the age of 92 on Sunday, May 15, 2005. She was predeceased by her husband Manuel in 1999. Mom leaves to cherish her memory, four children, Alberto (Fernanda), Olinda (Manuel), Jose (Ana), Odette (Jose). Mom also leaves her ten grandchildren, whom she doted on and loved so much, Maria, Manuela, Paula, Julie, Walter, Elizabeth, Anna, Kelly, Stacey and Nicholas and seven great-grandchildren. Mom was born October 18, 1912 in Cabouco, Sao Miguel and immigrated to Winnipeg with her family in 1966. Mom was very caring and raised her grandchildren with love and devotion. Strong and independent best described Mom. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Victoria Hospital and the caring staff at the Misericordia Health Centre. Prayers will be held on Thursday, May 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed John XXIII Parish, 3390 Portage Ave. with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H., V.F. presiding. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. GOD SAW HER GETTING TIRED God saw her getting tired, And a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around her And whispered, Come with me. With tearful eyes we watched her suffer And saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, We could not make her stay.
