ROBERT TAYLOR 1914 - 2005 Died peacefully at his residence on May 15, 2005, at the River East Personal Care Home, where he spent the last few years in comfort, enjoying the special attention of all the staff. Bob was born in Lac du Bonnet and lived most of his life in Selkirk where he and Ethel raised their family. After serving his country in the Army overseas during the Second World War he spent most of his working years with the Lord Selkirk School Division on maintenance. He always took great pride in his work and spoke very fondly of those he worked with. Bob and Ethel's home was always the gathering place for the family as well as anyone else who their children brought along. For many years they provided a home to many children in need of a warm, loving and safe environment. Bob was predeceased by his wife, Ethel; son-in-law Nelson; and all his siblings. He is survived by sons, David Taylor (Linda), Bruce Taylor (Valerie) and Frank Dussome (Pamela); daughters, Roberta Keller (Roy), Kristine Macauley, Sandee Chymboryk (Rick Mayette) and Karen Taylor; grandchildren, Laura, Lisa, Stacey, Eldon, Kathryn, Kevin (Crystal), Greg (Karyn), Coreen (Patrick), Grant, James, Kenny (Sheila) and Tera-Lynn (Jorge); great-grandchildren, Dylan and Taylor, Justice and Kevin Jr.; Keegan, Kayla, Dylan and Taylor Lily. To honour Bob's life there will be a memorial service held at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk on Friday May 20 at 11:00 a.m. Ash interment will follow at St. Clements Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined, if desired, donations may be made in his memory to the Selkirk District General Hospital - Emergency Dept., Box 5000, Selkirk R1A 2M2.
