BETTY LORRAINE LATER Peacefully in her sleep Betty Lorraine Later passed away in her home in Winnipeg on Tuesday, May 17, 2005. She was predeceased by her parents, Archibald William Campbell and Hannah May Campbell (nee McKenzie); brothers, Douglas Campbell and Keith (Duke) Campbell; sister Dorothy Crooker and two brothers-in-law, George (Ted) Crooker and Roy Fisher. Betty leaves to mourn her memory her son Cam (Leslie) Later of Winnipeg; daughter Patti (Eddie) Hacault of Bruxelles; one sister Marjorie Fisher of Winnipeg; eight grandsons, Noel Later, Jeff (Carrie) Later, Andrew Later, Steven Later and Carey Hacault all from Winnipeg, Launi (Bernie) Hacault of Libau and Gene Hacault, Courtenay (Heather) Hacault of Bruxelles; three great-granddaughters, Hailey Later, Emily Hacault and Nyla Hacault; and one great-grandson Cody Hacault; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Transcona, the youngest sibling by 16 years, Betty enjoyed speed skating in her youth. Years later, she transferred her energies into building one of Manitoba's ski resorts Holiday Mountain. She was proud of her Scottish heritage, her brother Duke Campbell's hockey career and all of her grandsons' accomplishments. She loved animals and a good book. In accordance to the wishes of the deceased, cremation will take place with no funeral service.
