Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH HENRI LEOPOLD LA CLARE Peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, Leopold La Clare, aged 87 years, passed away at the Grace Hospital. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Jeanne, brother Gilbert and grandson Louis. Left to mourn Leopold's passing are his children, Therese, Leo (Louise), Camille (John), Bernice, Vivianne (Harold), Marie (George), Nicole (David); 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Walter and Clarence; sisters, Mabel, Pauline, Phyllis and Marie all of Saskatchewan. Leopold was born in Edam, SK on May 4, 1918. He married Jeanne on August 19, 1940. They eventually settled in Winnipeg where they raised their family. Leopold served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1941 - 1945, attaining the rank of Lieutenant in 1943. He was a carpenter by trade and retired in 1980 from the T. Eaton Company. The family wishes to thank the many people who provided care to Leopold over the past years. Prayers 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 20 at Bardal Funeral Chapel, 843 Sherbrook St. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 168 Worth St. Interment 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24 at Brookside Cemetery.
