Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS MARGUERITE MARTIN (nee BERRY) Peacefully, on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, Gladys Martin aged 82 years of Carman, MB formerly of Roland, beloved wife of the late John Ernest Martin passed away at the Boundary Trails Health Centre. Gladys will be sadly missed by her daughters, Jill and her husband Don Patterson and their children, Patrick, Shannon, Noel, and Paul all of Fort St. John, BC; Janice and her husband John Graham and their son Gene and friend Darcelle of Roland, MB; Joanne and her husband Jonathan Bradley and sons, Jerrod and Alexander all of Kelowna, BC. She is also survived by her brothers, Errol Berry of Carberry, MB and Benson (Mildred) Berry of Carman; sister-in-law Gwen Berry of Reston, MB; and brother-in-law Clifford (May) Martin of Carman. Gladys was predeceased by her husband John Martin in 1996; and by brothers and sisters, Marjorie, Egbert, Edison, Reg, Burton, Patricia and John. Gladys enjoyed farming with her husband John in the Roland area for 50 years. She taught at the Debonair School in the R.M of Roland and was involved in the Roland community. She was active in the Roland United Church Choir, UCW, and CGIT. She enjoyed participating in the Roland Bible Study Group and being a leader of the 4-H group. She greatly enjoyed entertaining friends and family, snowmobiling, camping, and travelling. A public graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 21 at 12:00 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery, Roland. A celebration of Gladys' life will be held at 2:00 p.m. following the interment at Friends Community Church in Carman with Pastor Dale Warkentin officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Boundary Trails Health Centre Palliative Care, P.O. Box 2000 Station Main, Winkler, MB R6W 1H8.
