STANLEY WALTER KACZMARZ November 22, 1937 - May 18, 2005 After a very severe case of Blastomycosis and having fought so bravely, Stan's loving, big, generous heart gave out at Health Sciences Centre early Wednesday morning. Stanley leaves to mourn, his wife Judith; sons, Gregory and Richard (Kristin); brother Edward; cousin Brian (Connie) Phillips; aunts, uncle and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Bernice; sister-in-law Edith Kaczmar; mother and father-in-law, Jean and Jack Rowden; two uncles and one aunt. Stanley was born in Brandon, MB, and attended David Livingstone and Brandon Collegiate Schools. He worked for CP Express and Transport for over 37 years as a Rate Auditor and Business Manager in Brandon, Winnipeg, Vancouver, and back to Winnipeg in 1977, where he retired in 1993. After retiring, Stan had lots of time to pursue his hobbies. He loved to fish and putter around with cars. He took pride in looking after his house, the yard and the cottage. He was a man of strong faith and a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. Stan was always a loving husband, father and friend. The family extends sincere thanks to the Jesuits of SPH School for their support, prayers and bedside visits, and for the prayers and concern shown by family and friends. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, May 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd. (corner of Grant and Roblin), with Rev. Fr. Barry Schoonbaert officiating. Ash interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stanley's memory to the Judy Kaczmarz Bursary Fund at St. Paul's High School (Bursary funds assist deserving students to receive a Jesuit education), 2200 Grant Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3P 0P8 (charitable donation receipts issued), or to a charity of one's choice.
