FRANCIS (FRANK) JOHN FLAWS Frank passed away on Friday, May 20, 2005 at the Morris General Hospital. Frank was born in Brandon on August 11, 1908, son of John and Agnes Emma (Caryl) Flaws of Rapid City. He spent his childhood there before moving with his family to the Mayfeld District as a teenager in the early 1920s. He married Eva Wastle in July 1932, and celebrated 72 year of marriage in 2004. They lived in the Mayfeld and Muir Districts before moving to Winnipeg in 1949. Frank and Eva moved to Oak Bluff in 1966, where Frank cultivated a large garden, and was involved in the Horticultural Society, as well as teaching photography to the 4H Club. He had a long and varied working career, working until the age of 86 years. Frank was predeceased by Eva on February 18, 2005. He is survived by his children, Evelyn Gyles (Norman), Bill (Pat) and Larry (Alison); grandchildren, Jennifer Gyles (Jim Wilderman), Geoffrey Gyles (Jennifer), Heather Gyles-Boyce, Norman Gyles (Shelley), Garry Gyles (Shannon), Candace (Don Purvis), Corinne Halajko, Wendy (Ananh Khouvongsavanh), Garth Flaws (Meera), Vanessa (Chris Madsen) and Amanda (Ted Endean); brothers-in-law, John (Merle) Wastle, Bill Wastle and Ralph (Grace) Wastle; as well as 21 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Cecil; and sister Grace Tully; as well as sisters-in-law, Isa Flaws and Clarbel Wastle; and brother-in-law Lee Tully. If friends so desire, donations in Frank's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Cremation has taken place.
