Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) BALYK 1923 - 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Balyk on Friday May 20, 2005 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. William, beloved husband, brother, dad, grandpa and Papa Bill passed away at the tender age of 82 years. William will be lovingly remembered by all, especially Agnes his wife of 56 years. He will also be greatly missed by his sons, Michael (Cindy) and Robert (Connie), as well as his grandchildren, April, Tania, Shianna and Jeremy. Also left to mourn and cherish his loving memories are his brother Tim (California); sister-in-law and brother-in-law Margaret and Fred Stewart as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Winnipeg and grew up in East Kildonan. He started out helping his late aunt and uncle, Anne and Peter Kozub at the St. Charles Country Club. He met numerous friends while working as a salesman for Swift Canadian Meat Packers. He then moved on to work as a telecommunications officer for CP then CN railways. After an early retirement he became a domestic goddess. His macaroni casserole will never be surpassed. Dad will always be remembered for his enjoyment of life. Not only did he love being surrounded by his family, but he would without hesitation, open his home for all to enjoy. We will always remember his vibrant sense of humour and immeasurable generosity. He would not wish for sorrow He would not wish for tears But just to be remembered By us through the years. Our family would like to thank Dr. Patel, Dr. Embel, the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic staff, and the wonderful staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion shown to him during his illness. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 24, at 2:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
