GORDON FRANCIS PIERRE 1942 - 2005 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Francis on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Gordon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away at the tender age of 63 years. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, James (Jim) and Madeline, paternal grandfather, Joseph (Ogima), paternal grandmother, Mary and maternal grandmother, Philomene Napecash and one sister, Helen and Delores (wife). Gordon will be remembered by son, Brian and Teresa (wife), son Douglas, daughter Lorna, Rita (wife), son Dennis (Rocky), daughter Delma Rose Pierre, Sheryl (wife), son James and Julie (daughter-in-law), with four grandchildren and daughter Kimberly Ann. Also left to mourn are his brothers, Victor, Vincent, Ronald, Hubert, Melvin, Arthur, Hector, Leslie and sisters, Vera, Karen, Mary and Lorette. As well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Gordon was born on April 13, 1942 at Roseau River Indian Reserve and resided in Winnipeg in his later years where he enjoyed going to bingo with family and meeting his bingo family there. Gordon lived life as the Creator wished, with dignity and respect for all persons that he met on his journey on Turtle Island. Traditional Wake services will be held on Tuesday 24 at 610 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg, MB and on Wednesday, May 25, at the Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation Community Hall and Funeral Services on Thursday May 26, at 1:00 p.m. also in the Community Hall. Interment at Roseau River Indian Reserve Catholic Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be nephews, Frank, Victor Vincent, Darryl, Merlin Joseph, Kyle and Waylon.
