Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE JOHNSON (nee SLATER) On Wednesday, May 18, 2005 in Gresham, Oregon, Elsie Johnson passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness. Elsie was born, educated and worked in the offices of the Canadian Pacific Railway in Winnipeg. After moving to Portland, OR, she was employed at the Union Pacific Railway, until her retirement. Elsie was the third daughter born to Henry and Barbara Slater of Winnipeg. She is survived by her daughter Judi Kramer of Gresham, OR; two grandsons, Travis and Jason Kramer, serving in the United States Armed Forces; her sister Mrs. Eleanor Dey of Portland and many nieces and nephews in the United States and Canada. She is also survived by her brother Art Slater, his wife Helen and cousin Dorothy San Filippo of Winnipeg. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Bill Johnson; her parents Henry and Barbara Slater; brother Harold; brother-in-law Fred Dey; sister and brother-in-law Alvina and John Matthes and niece Priscilla Grover. Funeral service was held Sunday, May 22 at the Gresham Funeral Chapel, Gresham, OR.
