Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELMUT BISIAK 1942 - 2005 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved brother Helmut Bisiak at St. Boniface Hospital on May 18, 2005. Helmut was born in Slovenia on July 4, 1942 and immigrated to Canada with his parents and siblings in 1957. He is survived by his daughter Janice of Calgary; stepson Darren; and grandchildren, Shayla and Lena; his sisters, Hilda (Ivo) Podobnik of Slovenia, Maria Oleson, Rose Colburn and Ellie Lehmann of Winnipeg; his two brothers, Frank Bisiak (Wendy) of Selkirk and Alois Bisiak (Doreen) of Edmonton, AB; and many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous cousins in Germany. He was predeceased by his parents Valeria and Frank Bisiak and his longtime friend Brenda. Helmut had a great love of music and he spend a lot of time in British Columbia where in his early years worked in the logging industry. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., Friday, May 27 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing one half hour prior. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to extend deep thanks to Dr. Crawford and the outstanding Palliative Care Unit at the St. Boniface Hospital for the understanding and care shown to Helmut and his family.
