Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILFRID LAMBERT July 31, 1921 - May 23, 2005 Peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital with his family by his side, Wilfrid Lambert passed away at the age of 83 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Annette (nee Lemire); his children, Paulette Hudzick, Louise Desharnais, Irene Gobeil, Eveline Hepburn (Derek), Jerry (Tracy), Rose-Marie (Gord) and Rick (Diane); his grand-children, Mary Ann, Christine and Clint, Robert, Lynn Marie, Michelle and Alain, Chantelle, Russ and Shane, Amanda, James, Ryan and Jeremy; his great-grandchildren, Amanda, Neil, Brenden, Reanna, Ryan, Devon, Cameron, Jaron and Madeleine. Wilfrid was predeceased by his sons-in-law, Pete Hudzick and Art Desharnais. Wilfrid was a veteran of the Second World War. He worked for many years in building maintenance starting in the Transcona Springfield School Division, was the building Superintendent at The Boyd Building in downtown Winnipeg where he retired in 1984. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. with viewing before the service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 27 in the St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church, 1007 St. Mary's Rd., with Father Marcel Carriere presiding. Cremation will follow. A private interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6 (tel. no. 204-774--5501).
