Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN SOKOLIWSKY 1913 - 2005 Peacefully John passed away May 23, 2005 at Bethesda Hospital, Steinbach at the age of 91 years. John is survived by his wife Mary; two daughters and two sons, Stella Murillo, Morris (Phyllis) Sokoliwsky, Diane Roy and Bill (Eva-Lynne) Sokoliwsky; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. John is predeceased by daughter Ann Horbul; and sons-in-law, Bill Horbul, Roger Roy and Alex Lakusta; and three grandchildren. John was always involved with the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Tolstoi. The funeral service for John Sokoliwsky will be held Saturday, May 28, 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Tolstoi. Prayers will be Friday, May 27, 7:00 p.m. at the Steinbach Funeral Home in Steinbach. The family wishes to thank Sylvia and her mother Olga from Home Care, Vita and Steinbach Hospital doctors and nurses and the Vita and St. Pierre ambulance attendants.
