Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYVETTE BERNARDIN May 7, 1923 - May 23, 2005 Peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2005, Yvette passed away at the Grace Hospice with her family at her side. Yvette was predeceased by her husband, Leo; sisters, Marguerite, Juliette, Alice, Germaine, and Marie; and brother, Andre. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her children, Glenn (Annie), Grant, Lynn (Ken) and Gail (Allen); special friend, Harold Doupe; grandchildren, Shelly (Terry), Craig, Kevin (Chelle), and Scott (Jenni). Yvette was born and raised in Fannystelle, MB. While in Fannystelle, she was united in marriage with Leo Bernardin and the couple was blessed with four children. In 1957, the family moved to St. Charles St. in Winnipeg where she lived until her passing. Whenever friends and family visited Winnipeg, Yvette's home was the gathering place. She will be remembered for her love of traveling. She was fortunate to be able to visit Europe on more than one occasion. A very special memory for her was when she and Marie were able to visit her father's ancestral home in France. After her retirement, she enjoyed dancing, bowling and playing cards. The family extends a special thank you to all the staff of the Grace Hospice and in particular, Dr. Mulder for their compassionate and professional care. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make a donation in Yvette's memory to the Grace Hospice, 260 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3V 3R5. Cremation has taken place and Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Ave. A reception will follow.
