ELSIE WILGOSH (nee MATCHIZEN) After a long and full life, on Sunday, May 22, 2005, Elsie Wilgosh passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends at the Beausejour Hospital, at the age of 69 years. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Stan of 49 years of marriage; three sons, Glen (Brenda), Bruce (Monica) and Michael (Cindy); seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Ryan, Kayla, Sherelle, Dylan and Tyrell. She will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Mary, Jean (Greg) and Zonie (Eddie); sisters-in-law, Joan (Ken) and Clara; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Elsie was predeceased by her parents, John and Katie Matchizen; and brother Benny. Born and raised in Thalberg, MB, Elsie lived in Winnipeg for a short time. After marrying Stan, she moved to Beausejour and lived the remainder of her life there. Elsie was a devoted wife to her husband Stan, a loving mom to her sons and daughters-in-law, and she was blessed with seven grandchildren. Elsie was a devoted member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Beausejour and an active member of the Catholic Women's League. Elsie and Stan made numerous friends through the Square, Round and Old Time Dance Community. It was their favourite pastime. Prayers will be held on Thursday evening, May 26 at 7:00 p.m., in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 530 Atlantic Ave., Beausejour, MB. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday morning, May 27 at 10:30 a.m., also in the Church, with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves presiding. Interment will follow in the St. Mary Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery, Beausejour, MB. Our family would like to thank the staff at CancerCare Manitoba and a special thanks to Dr. Corder and the staff at the Beausejour Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elsie's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Granny We Will Miss You. Never Forgotten - Forever Missed.
