WILLIAM (BILL) LECHMAN April 13, 1933 - May 24, 2005 We sadly announce the passing of Bill Lechman at St. Boniface Hospital. Bill was born and raised in Springfield, MB and attended Corona School in Pine Ridge. He retired in 1998 after 30 years working for both Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Railways, as a labourer/machine operator. Bill enjoyed bowling with his ten pin league on Fridays at Chateau Lanes, and loved golfing for Heather Curling Club on Tuesdays and each fall for the West Kildonan Legion #30 where he won many tournaments. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Anne and Joseph Lechman; his two sisters, Mary and Katherine and his long time partner Regina Winiasz. Bill is survived by his four nephews, Jerry, Joseph, George and Derrick; and his three nieces, Maryanne, Sabrina and Kim. Bill will be missed by his many friends and extended family. He will be remembered for his kindness, friendly smile and quick witted jokes. Funeral service to be held at St. Joseph's Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2005.
