Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDARLENE BOISCLAIR Darlene passed away peacefully, on May 20, 2005 at 62 years of age, at her home with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with ALS. Darlene was born and educated in Winnipeg where she attended Wellington, John M. King, General Wolfe and Daniel McIntyre Schools. She graduated from Success Commercial College and worked as a well-respected and accomplished Administrative Assistant in Winnipeg at The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Quest Metal, Templeton Engineering, and IDS Engineering. In 1980, she moved to Dryden, ON where she worked for 22 years for Weyerhaeuser, Forestlands Division. During her life Darlene and her beloved Leo enjoyed fishing, and travelling, especially the trips to Las Vegas and the cruises she and Leo experienced together. She was very active, and loved to play darts, and golf. Darlene loved spending time with her family, especially their grandchildren. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her impeccable organizational skills and her love of preparing special meals, especially her delicious blueberry pies. She will be greatly missed by her husband Leo Boisclair; children, Blake (Simone) Poole of Dryden, Brian (Kim) Poole of Winnipeg, Cam Boisclair, Tanis (Doug) Hore of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Brendan and Bradley of Dryden and Tayler of Winnipeg; her sister Beverly (Nick) Laping of Winnipeg; her nieces and nephews, Nicole Laping of Winnipeg, Susie Laping of Winnipeg, Jeff (Leigh-Ann) Laping and their children, Nicholas, Hayden and Ashton, and Mike (Lisa) Laping of Winnipeg; her aunts, Edna Vryenhoek of Winnipeg and Hazel Baker of Salmon Arm, BC; and her uncle Lorne Gray of Dauphin, MB. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Darlene Boisclair will be held on Friday, May 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the Dryden Community Funeral Home Chapel in Dryden, with Rev. Scott Jones officiating. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and if friends so desire, they can make a contribution to: ALS Society of Manitoba, Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3.
