Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY ANNE STARRETT (nee MYERS) Peacefully on Saturday, May 28, 2005, Dorothy passed away, less than one month short of her 91st birthday. Remaining to cherish her memory are her son Jack (Anna) Starrett of BC; her daughters, Helen (Dennis) Ford of BC and Barbara (Jim) Todd of MB; grandchildren, John (Pat) Starrett of ON and Kathy Milne of MB; sister-in-law Marge Myers of MB and her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by Rowland, her husband of 62 years, in 1996. Dorothy touched the lives of many. For many years she volunteered with the Tribune Empty Stocking Fund, then the Christmas Cheer Board. She knitted and sewed gifts for children, making their Christmases truly special. A special thank you is extended to Dr. Les Ulloyt who looked after her for many years. Also, thank you to Dr. B. Iqbal and the staff of Unit 7, third floor, Seven Oaks Hospital, as well as her home care workers. A heart of gold stopped beating Working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. You were always there when we needed you, No task too great or small With a loving heart and willing hand For us you did them all. Thanks for the years you gave us And for the times we shared, We only pray when you left us You knew how much we cared. The hearts that loved you dearly Are the ones that won't forget. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., (with viewing from 12:30 p.m.), Wednesday, June 1 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery.
