YOLAN IRMA LYON (MIN) (CZERMAN) -
Date of Passing: May 14, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYOLAN IRMA LYON (MIN) (nee CZERMAN) 1925 - 2005 Peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2005, Mom passed away at the Sutherland Hills Rest Home in Kelowna, BC. Born in Hungary, Yolan immigrated to Canada with her family at the age of three and grew up in East Kildonan. In 1946 she married Arthur Lyon and spent most of her life in St. Vital. Having been an only child, Mom felt fortunate to have had three children, Robert (Victoria Beach), Sharon (Alan) Mack (Winnipeg), Wendy (Rob) Lee (Kelowna). Even more blessed with grandchildren, Carrie Lyon (Cory) (Ontario), Scott (Janine) Lyon (British Columbia), Chris and Tara Mack (Winnipeg), then later Aron and Toni (Kelowna). Family came first with Mom and she created a home with much love, laughter and fabulous food. It was said that the wonderful aromas from our house on Dunraven Avenue was the result of all her T.L.C. which she put into her cooking. Family trips were numerous and there were many memorable times at the cottage at Clear Lake. Mom was also a Breast Cancer Survivor (1983). Her loving spirit and great laughter will be well remembered by all that knew her. Donations in Mom's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.

Very sorry to hear about the passing of "Auntie Min". I'll never forget her laugh and she always had a good story to tell. I remember the times that were shared with my Mom & Dad and I think of those days often. Love Vanessa (nee Majury) - Posted by: Vanessa Boivin (Acquaintance) on: Jun 08, 2005
