ANNE HARRIS (SOWANEY)

ANNE HARRIS (nee SOWANEY) Anne Harris (nee Sowaney), aged 87, died at the Health Sciences Centre on May 18, 2005. She was born on August 29, 1918 in Roblin, MB, to the late Sam and Agnes Sowaney (Glutyk). Anne was married to Anthony Harris in 1939 in Winnipeg, MB. From 1985 to 1995 she enjoyed her winters in Corpus Christi, Texas and her summers in Petersfield, MB. Anne is survived by her sons and their wives, Ken (and Wanda Harris) and Walter (and Donna Harris); her sister Stella Cook and her brother Victor Sowaney. Anne was preceded in death her husband Anthony, her brother Harry Sowaney, and her sister Marie Barrington. Anne is further survived by her grandchildren, Nicole Harris, Danny Harris, Melanie Glenwright, and Chad Harris as well as many nieces and nephews. Anne requested that no service be held her honour and she will be greatly missed by her family. We would like to thank the staff of the Selkirk Mental Health Centre who cared for Anne.
