Elizabeth was born October 4, 1915. Her father was a teacher so they moved occasionally to different towns within Manitoba. She met Roy in Minnedosa and settled down to raise a family. She was widowed at 29 years of age and was left to raise three young daughters. She rose to the challenge and never remarried and chose to devote her life to her children. She spent many years travelling to her daughters' homes across Canada and helping out when needed. She was generous and loving with a sharp mind and quick wit. She was a private person who loved watching sports on TV, playing cards, doing puzzles and spending time visiting family. She was talented at knitting and quilting. She made quilts for all her children and grandchildren. She spent the last three and a half years at the Riverview Health Centre due to her medical problems and the family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to doctors and staff of Riverview 2 West. In accordance with Elizabeth's wishes, a private family service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Elizabeth's name to Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4.
