GORDON MAYTWAYASHING (NANABUSH) Peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at his residence, Gordon Maytwayashing, aged 55 years of Lake Manitoba First Nation. Gordon was born September 6, 1949 in Eriksdale, MB. He enjoyed hunting and being around his friends. Gordon is survived by his friend and ex-wife Margaret McLean; his adopted daughter Meryl; his grandchildren, Dion and Faith who he adored -- they kept him on his toes, and made him smile every day. Also surviving are his two brothers, Orville (Claudia); his children, Annette (Rodney), Jason Charmaine, Trudy (Darren), Mary (Barry), Wanda (Garnet), and all their children; and brother Adolph Bill (Lorna); his sister Lydia (Roy) Choken, their children, Ivan (Darlene), Dean (Jennifer), Denise (Charles), Jennifer (Cal); Myles, Candance, and all their children. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Jerry Maytwayashing in 1989 and Mary Jane (Paul) in 1962; his brother Arthur in 1980; his sister Doris in 1981; his sister-in-law Eileen Maytwayashing in 2003; and his brother-in-law George Woodford in 1983. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 28 at the Lake Manitoba School Gymnasium at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Maytwayashing, Ivan Maytwayashing, Barry Swan, Charles Choken, Christopher McLean, Joe Bear. Honorary Pallbearers will be everyone in attendance.
