Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN R. (nee HOUGHTLING) MACCHARLES Evelyn R. (Houghtling) MacCharles died May 19, 2005 at St. Joseph's Residence, Winnipeg, MB. She was born in Midale, SK on February 17, 1915. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Bert and Ann Houghtling; brothers, Harry and Keith Houghtling; and her husband Dr. Malcolm MacCharles. She is survived by nephews, nieces and sister-in-law Peggy Houghtling of Ithaca, NY and special friend Mrs. Julie Buhr of Winnipeg. Evelyn graduated in 1937 from Winnipeg General Hospital Nursing School. She continued as a dedicated, caring R.N. throughout her working career until retirement. The family appreciates the love, care and kindness shown by the outstanding staff at St. Joseph's. Cremation was handled by Thomson Funeral Hone, Winnipeg. Ashes to be interred by Hastings, Dionne Funeral Home in Weyburn, SK and burial will be in the family plot in Midale at the family's convenience.
